INTERNATIONAL EARLY YEARS CURRICULUM
Education in Nursery 1 is based on the English Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework. This consists of seven areas of learning: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; Physical Development; Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design. Children experience these learning areas through playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking both indoors and outside. This curriculum is suitable for very young children, and is designed to be quite flexible so that we can follow their unique needs and interests.
In Nursery 2, Nursery 3 and Reception, learning is based on the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC). Here, we support learning through a holistic and play-based approach that covers all of the EYFS Framework areas, providing a more in-depth learning experience. The IEYC captures the children´s natural curiosity and balances child-initiated learning with teacher guidance.
