Cultural extracurricular activities PDF Print E-mail

The School offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities as a complement to the academic formation of our pupils. These activities are carried out during the midday lunch break (from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.), after school (from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and also on Saturday mornings.

Extracurricular activities are divided into two groups: sports and cultural.

Cultural extracurricular activities include: piano, guitar, choro, introduction to music, painting, handicrafts, brain games, ballet, violin, communicative skills in English and Chinese.

Sports activities include: football, basketball, athletics, judo, aerobics and rhythmic gymnastics, fencing, pre-tennis, infant yoga, chess, roller-skating and multisports.

Summer school takes place during the month of July. Activities are designed to be enjoyable or focused on revision of particular subjects. The aim is to improve knowledge of the English language throughout different workshops which concentrate on oral skills and effective communication. Summer school activities are open to the general public as well as school pupils. Students are grouped by level and also by age.

The solid curricular base of our school is complemented by the preparation of our pupils to acquire different certificates from external institutions such as Cambridge University (Young Learners, KET, PET, First Certificate, Advanced and Proficiency), Goethe Institute and LAMDA (the school is a registered examination centre for these three entities). Furthermore, foreign pupils are prepared for the offcial exams of the Cervantes Institute and in the case of Valencian, pupils are prepared for the “Mitjà” (Middle grade) exam of the Junta Qualificadora.

Languages Programmes abroad PDF Print E-mail
LAUDE Newton College offers its pupils the possibility of spending a term, a semester or an academic year abroad at our prestigious Bredon School in England. The programme is intended to acommodate the total immersion of pupils within the academic and family life in an English speaking country. The school also offers the opportunity to undergo intensive summer courses in different countries during the month of July.
