Early Years foundation Stage

British National Curriculum (from Nursery I to Year 1). Study of Spanish language starting as from Nursery III.

Laude Newton College offers a bilingual and stimulating environment in the Early Years Foundation Stage, where pupils feel motivated and valued, learning to become autonomous and creative at the same time. All learning in this stage is based on the British National Curriculum, where children follow the Early Learning Goals, which in turn, are based on six key areas: personal, social and emotional development; physical development; creative development; problem solving, reasoning and numeracy; communication, language and literacy; and knowledge and understanding of the world.

Moreover, we offer a pleasant caring atmosphere which is essentially child-orientated; safe and secure; lively and challenging, as well as exciting and motivating.

We place emphasis on “active learning” and personal “hands-on” experiences. We concentrate on developing the learning process through free play, directed play and imaginative play, as well as more formal table-top activities.

Our aim is for all children to be happy and to enjoy playing and learning with us.
