Laude Newton College

In Laude Newton College our educational project is complemented by a solid teaching in the importance of values, with the aim of providing our pupils with an overall quality education. Although the family is the appropriate environment to acquire and develop values, it is essential that these values are also reinforced at school:

Laude Newton College concentrates on developing values in three areas:

• Our House System provides the perfect framework to work those values which are relevant to the overall education of our pupils. All pupils are divided into four teams or houses: Lincoln, King, Calcutta and Da Vinci. Pupils are awarded House Points each time they carry out an action which deserves to be recognised, as for example, helping others, showing empathy, cooperating with the school community, showing respect and tolerance, having good manners, being enthusiastic, etc. Moreover, thanks to the House System, numerous projects and events are organised throughout the year with the aim of working these aspects.
• Community Service: Participation in the Community Service Programme is an essential requisite that all pupils must fulfill in order to obtain the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme certificate. This area of interaction develops an awareness and concern for the community in our pupils as well as developing those skills necessary to make a positive contribution to society. Pupils take an active part in all projects and activities which this area of interaction includes and which starts in the classroom but also carries on outside.
